materials portfolio
At the POLE workshops, we work with bioplastics and other biodegradable materials, exploring their potential as eco-friendly alternatives to traditional materials. In our laboratory, we develop, test, and adapt natural-based materials that can partially or fully replace plastic, synthetic polymers, or animal-derived materials. One of our key research areas is kombucha—a biomaterial with distinct aesthetic and functional properties that opens up new possibilities for product design. Due to their versatility, these materials are suitable for creating prototypes, serial products, and custom solutions tailored to specific requirements.
